Description

Designed for all-day touring, the ski Movement Icon 95 W is a versatile ski that combines lightness on the ascent and skiability on the descent, carried by a Karuba core and CTS Light construction that absorb vibrations without weighing down the overall package.

What's in the Movement Icon 95 W ski program?

With 95 mm at the skate, it strikes a balance between lift in powder and efficiency on hard snow. The double rocker makes it easy to get off the ground and pivot quickly when the snow thickens. The camber underfoot keeps a firm grip on groomed or frozen sections. Its short radius makes it lively in terrain conversions and tight turns in forests or couloirs.

Who is the Movement Icon 95 W ski for?

This ski is aimed at intermediate to advanced skiers, already technically at ease, who are looking for a rando ski capable of performing equally well both uphill and downhill on varied snow conditions.

What are the main qualities of the Movement Icon 95 W ski?

Polyvalence

Lightness

Vividness

Does the Movement Icon 95 W float well in powder?

Yes. The double rocker helps you get off the ground quickly and the ski's format provides enough support to float in light to moderate powder without forcing the supports.

Does the Movement Icon 95 W grip on hard snow?

Yes. The classic underfoot camber maintains edge-to-snow contact along the entire length, giving a crisp edge grip even on hard packed or icy sections.

What role does VA-TECH technology play on this ski?

The VA-TECH system incorporates vibration-absorbing rubber in place of conventional ABS reinforcements. As a result, the ski remains stable and comfortable in uneven snow (trafolée, crusty or bumpy) without stiffening the whole.

Is the Movement Icon 95 W compatible with PIN bindings?

Yes. It can be fitted with PIN-type insert bindings, making it suitable for touring use with skins while retaining its downhill performance.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
