Description

The Ortles 90 is an agile, responsive and versatile touring ski designed by Skitrab. Meant for demanding ski touring enthusiasts, this model features a rather light weight that facilitates the ascents and offers great performances in the descents, as long as you have the technical skills and the physical condition to control it.

What is the program of the Skitrab Ortles 90 ski?

As comfortable on the slopes and their groomed snow as in soft snow and shallow powder off-piste, the Ortles 90 is one of the best touring skis in the descents. Its 90 mm at the waist, along with its front rocker give it a good ability to lift and the classic camber ensures good grip on hard snow. Its lightweight construction allows it to require little energy when skinning and the wood core paired to biaxial fibre glass reinforcements gives the punch, power and stability required to truly have a blast in the descents. Nimble and dynamic, it is an ideal ski to explore the entire resort and experience maximum fun, no matter the conditions.

Who is the Skitrab Ortles 90 ski for?

We recommend this model to seasoned skiers with an advanced or expert level and who are looking both for fast climbs that demand little energy, but also maximum performance in the descents, to put some rhythm and intensity in the entire resort.

What are the main assets of the Skitrab Ortles 90 ski?

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
