Description

The W's Superguide 95 is an iconic ski from Scott. This model is designed for female skiers who want a touring ski that provides sensations similar to alpine skis. It benefits from a modern construction to enhance its efficiency for touring while enjoying great skiability.

What is the program of the Scott W's Superguide 95 ski?

The W's Superguide 95 is able to bring you far and high when touring, but it is in the descents that it shows it full potential. Its modern construction and carefully selected materials provide good power and great stability without sacrificing lightness. Inside the W's Superguide 95, you will find a paulownia and beech core, two wood types that offer flexibility and lightness for a great snow feel. Around the core, you will find two layers of carbon and aramid. These two materials are both very lightweight and strong, which improves the stiffness of the ski and allows it to better stay in line when flying down at full speed through powder fields in the backcountry. To provide manoeuvrability in powder, Scott featured a 94 mm wide waist for floatability and a front rocker for the ability to lift. The classic camber profile under the foot guarantees precision and power, while the flat tail enhances the grip on hard snow and provides good rebound.

Who is the Scott W's Superguide 95 ski for?

As most touring ski, we recommend the W's Superguide 95 to advanced and expert level female skiers, as you need to be able to adapt to the various terrains and snow types to fully enjoy touring. With a 94 mm wide waist and rather dynamic construction, this model is particularly suited if you focus on the descents and plan on skiing through fresh snow fields.

What are the main assets of the Scott W's Superguide 95 ski?

Stability

Good skiability

Great power/weight ratio

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
