Atomic Backland Pro
The Blackland Pro is a high-performance ski touring boot designed to meet the needs of the most experienced skiers. Very light, weighing around a 1 kg. Flagship model in the range, the Blackland Pro takes you where you want with power and precision thanks to its flex of 100, while the 3D Platinum Light liner offers great foot comfort and good odour management. The Skywalk outsole guarantees grip and confidence when walking. In addition, with its 74° range of motion, the strengths of the Backland Pro are felt during all phases: hiking, skinning, skiing.
Atomic Backland Sport
The Austrian brand also offers the Backland Sport ski touring boot. A tad heavier and more flexible than the Pro, it remains close with a flex rating of 90. More versatile and user-friendly, it’s comfortable on any type of snow and allows to climb with ease. It allows more casual descents but lets you ski at a good pace if you feel like it. Less destined to expert skiers, it’s rather designed for intermediate to advanced skiers.
Atomic Backland Carbon
Also very light and with the same 74° range of motion, the Carbon version of the Backlands offer the same comfort and ease in the climbs to save your energy. Powerful and precise in the descents, it allows to have a blast without feeling any foot pain thanks to the 3D Platinum liner and its Dry Fit foam. For even better fluidity in the ascents, the Free Lock 4.0 mechanism and Frictionless pivot are featured. Like all Backland ski touring boots, this model is designed for Low Tech bindings.
Atomic Backland Expert
Finally, the Backland Expert. This Atomic model is close to the Pro, with slightly less response but a very similar weight. This boot offers natural, pleasant, and fast strides. Like its three cousins, it provides both comfort and precision. The flex rating of 90 or 100, whether it’s the 2023 or 2024 model, allows to ski casually, or send it to have fun on the way down and finish the day on a high note. As for the rest, the Boa closure system is very practical and the 98 mm last will satisfy skiers with narrow feet who need precision.
