Which Fischer The Curv ski should you choose?

Fischer The Curv skis all share a strong piste and carving focus, but their behaviour varies noticeably from one model to another. The The Curv TI and DTI, with a 70 mm waist, prioritise responsiveness and precision. The Curv Noize is the most performance-oriented model in the family, while the Noize GTX combines a little more width with a highly sporty construction. The GT 76, 80 and 85 gain progressively in versatility as snow conditions change throughout the day.

Fischer The Curv: carving skis built for the piste

Fischer The Curv skis are developed to deliver precision, edge hold and stability on groomed snow. Their shape promotes quick edge-to-edge transitions and clean carving, while the different radii allow the skier to adapt their line to suit their preferences and the terrain.

The constructions vary according to the model. Fischer uses wood cores, metal or carbon reinforcements and different interfaces between the ski and the binding. The sportier models feature technologies designed to increase torsional stiffness, power transmission and stability, while the more accessible versions place greater emphasis on manoeuvrability and ease of use.

Fischer The Curv Noize and Noize GTX: what are the differences?

The The Curv Noize and Noize GTX sit at the top of the range. Both are aimed at sporty carving, but the Noize remains narrower at 72 mm underfoot, whereas the GTX reaches 76 mm. This makes the Noize more incisive and precise, while the GTX offers a little more versatility and stability underfoot.

Fischer The Curv Noize M-Plate

The Fischer The Curv Noize M-Plate is a premium piste ski aimed at skiers able to ski aggressively. Its 72 mm waist promotes rapid edge changes and precision, while its M-Plate reinforces power transmission. Noize Control technology is intended to reduce vibrations so the ski stays smooth when the speed increases.

  • Use: high-performance carving

  • Ability level: advanced to expert

  • Waist width: 72 mm

  • Radius: 17.5 m in 178 cm

  • Technology: Noize Control

  • Reinforcement: Carbon Bridge

  • Construction: Diagowrap

  • Interface: M-Plate

Fischer The Curv Noize GTX Superflex

With 76 mm underfoot, the Fischer The Curv Noize GTX Superflex retains a very sporty feel while adding more stability and versatility underfoot. Its Superflex platform works with the ski and binding to preserve flex and power transfer. It is aimed primarily at experienced skiers looking for power, precision and the ability to vary their turns.

  • Use: sporty piste skiing and carving

  • Ability level: expert

  • Waist width: 76 mm

  • Radius: 15 m in 175 cm

  • Technology: Noize Control

  • Platform: Superflex

  • Reinforcements: Carbon Bridge and Shaped Ti

Fischer The Curv GT 76, GT 80 and GT 85: what are the differences?

The Curv GT models retain the carving character of the range while gaining versatility. Their main difference lies in their waist width. The GT 76 prioritises agility and edge changes, the GT 80 seeks a balance between precision and stability, while the GT 85 offers more surface area underfoot for softer, tracked or uneven snow.

Fischer The Curv GT 76 Twin Powerrail

The Fischer The Curv GT 76 Twin Powerrail is the narrowest of the GT models. Its 76 mm waist preserves quick edge-to-edge transitions, while its On-Piste Rocker helps with turn initiation. It is suitable for intermediate to advanced skiers who want to develop their carving on a sporty ski without moving into the most demanding models in the range.

  • Use: versatile piste carving

  • Ability level: intermediate to advanced

  • Waist width: 76 mm

  • Profile: On-Piste Rocker

  • Interface: Twin Powerrail

  • Reinforcement: Power Ti

  • Construction: Diagofiber

Fischer The Curv GT 80 Twin Powerrail

At 80 mm underfoot, the Fischer The Curv GT 80 Twin Powerrail offers more stability than the GT 76 while remaining lively enough for sporty piste use. Its width makes it more forgiving when the snow changes or the terrain becomes less consistent, without losing the carving performance that defines the range.

  • Use: versatile and sporty piste skiing

  • Ability level: intermediate to advanced

  • Waist width: 80 mm

  • Profile: On-Piste Rocker

  • Interface: Twin Powerrail

  • Reinforcement: Shaped Ti 0.5

  • Construction: Sandwich Sidewall with Diagofiber

Fischer The Curv Noize GT 85 Superflex

The Fischer The Curv Noize GT 85 Superflex is the widest model in this selection. Its 85 mm waist brings more stability and comfort when the snow becomes softer or more uneven. It nonetheless remains a ski mainly focused on piste skiing and carving. Noize Control technology and the Superflex platform aim to preserve smooth, precise skiing despite the greater width.

  • Use: piste and variable conditions

  • Ability level: intermediate to advanced

  • Waist width: 85 mm

  • Radius: 15 m in 175 cm

  • Profile: On-Piste Rocker

  • Technology: Noize Control

  • Platform: Superflex

Fischer The Curv DTI and TI: what level of performance?

The Curv DTI and TI both have a narrow 70 mm waist, particularly well-suited to quick edge changes. The DTI takes a sportier and more demanding approach, while the TI offers a more accessible take on carving. They therefore provide two interesting options for skiers who mainly prioritise precision on groomed runs.

Fischer The Curv DTI LYT PR

The Fischer The Curv DTI LYT PR is designed for advanced to expert skiers looking for a lively, precise ski. Its Radical Triple Radius allows you to vary turn radii, while its LYT PR interface reduces weight without compromising effective power transmission. Its 70 mm width encourages rapid edge engagement.

  • Use: sport carving

  • Ability level: advanced to expert

  • Waist width: 70 mm

  • Radius: 13 m in 164 cm

  • Technology: Radical Triple Radius

  • Interface: LYT PR

  • Construction: Sandwich Sidewall with Diagofiber

Fischer The Curv TI Twin Powerrail

The Fischer The Curv TI Twin Powerrail keeps the 70 mm waist and a strong carving orientation, but its behaviour is more accessible than the DTI. It is aimed at intermediate to advanced skiers who want more precision, to work on their edge grip and gradually build speed on groomers.

  • Use: piste skiing and progression in carving

  • Ability level: intermediate to advanced

  • Waist width: 70 mm

  • Radius: 13 m in 164 cm

  • Technology: Radical Triple Radius

  • Interface: Twin Powerrail

  • Construction: Sandwich Sidewall with Diagofiber

  • Technology: Race Sidewall

Fischer The Curv Noize or GTX: which should you choose?

The The Curv Noize M-Plate prioritises precision and outright performance. Its 72 mm waist and M-Plate are particularly well suited to skiers seeking incisive handling and strong power transfer.

The The Curv Noize GTX Superflex still delivers a high level of performance, but its 76 mm waist gives it more stability and versatility. It is better suited to skiers who want to keep a powerful ski while varying conditions and turn radii more freely.

Fischer The Curv GT 76 or GT 80: which is the most versatile?

The The Curv GT 76 is the more agile of the two. Its narrower width allows quick edge-to-edge transitions and is particularly suited to skiers who prioritise groomers and carving.

The The Curv GT 80 adds four millimetres underfoot. This difference is modest, but it improves stability and comfort when the snow softens or when the piste deteriorates over the course of the day. It is therefore the more versatile choice of the two, while the GT 76 retains the advantage in liveliness.

Fischer The Curv GT 80 or GT 85: which width should you choose?

The The Curv GT 80 remains close to a traditional piste ski and offers a good balance between rapid edge changes and stability. The The Curv Noize GT 85 adds more width and more surface area underfoot. It is therefore more comfortable in transformed snow or on uneven conditions, but it requires a little more commitment to move from one edge to the other.

The choice therefore mainly depends on the conditions you prefer: the GT 80 favours a practice mostly centred on carving, while the GT 85 brings more versatility when piste conditions change.

Fischer The Curv or RC4: which range should you choose?

The Fischer The Curv and RC4 ranges are both piste-oriented, but their philosophies differ. The Fischer RC4 skis include models directly inspired by racing, particularly for skiers seeking sensations close to slalom or giant slalom.

The The Curv range places more emphasis on the ability to vary turn radii. The narrower models such as the TI, DTI or Noize retain a strong carving focus, while the GT 76, 80 and 85 progressively broaden the remit towards greater versatility on piste.

A very slalom-oriented RC4 will suit a skier who prioritises short turns and a highly specific feel. A The Curv generally offers more freedom to alternate lines during the same run. However, the level of demand varies greatly depending on the model: a The Curv Noize or Noize GTX requires considerably more technique and commitment than a GT 76 or a The Curv TI.
