Fischer - RC4

The Fischer RC4 range brings together skis and boots designed for piste skiing. The Austrian brand Fischer develops this family from approachable skis for progression through to very high-performance models inspired by racing. The series includes models specialised for short turns, others designed for longer arcs, as well as junior versions. The RC4 boots follow the same logic, with different flex ratings and several last widths. You can also find these models among all our piste and racing ski packages.

Which Fischer RC4 ski should you choose?

Fischer RC4 skis stand out chiefly for their level of demand and the type of turn they are designed for. The RC4 Noize and Noize ST sit at the top of the range with a construction aimed at experienced skiers. The RC4 ST LYT PR and LT LYT PR take a more different approach in a more accessible format, while the RC4 Pro JRS and Race Jr are designed for young skiers.

Model Main use Turn type Performance Ability level
Fischer RC4 Noize M-Plate High-performance piste Mixed turn radii Powerful, precise and very stable Expert
Fischer RC4 Noize ST Superflex Slalom and sporty piste skiing Short turns Very lively, dynamic and responsive Advanced to expert
Fischer RC4 ST LYT PR Carving Short turns Responsive and more approachable Intermediate to advanced
Fischer RC4 LT LYT PR Sporty piste skiing Medium to long turns Stable and suited to bigger arcs Intermediate to advanced
Fischer RC4 Pro JRS Junior sporty piste skiing Short to medium turns Precise, grippy and dynamic Advanced junior to expert
Fischer RC4 Race Jr Junior piste skiing Progression and short turns Light, easy to handle and forgiving Junior beginner to intermediate

Fischer RC4: piste skis ranging from carving to performance

Fischer RC4 skis are developed around precision, edge grip and the power transfer on groomed snow. Depending on the model, their geometry favours fast direction changes, big turns at sustained speed, or a more versatile use.

The constructions vary considerably across the range. The Noize models use technologies intended to reduce vibration and improve stability, while the LYT models favour a more accessible approach to performance. The junior versions, meanwhile, feature constructions adapted to the weight and power of young skiers.

Fischer RC4 Noize and Noize ST: two skis for sporty skiing

Fischer RC4 Noize M-Plate

The Fischer RC4 Noize M-Plate is a piste ski aimed at expert skiers looking for precise, aggressive skiing. Its shape allows a variety of turn radii, while Noize Control technology is designed to limit vibration as speed rises. The M-Plate promotes direct power transfer and reinforces its performance focus.

  • Use: high-performance piste
  • Ability level: expert
  • Waist width: 66 mm
  • Technology: Noize Control
  • Core: Solid Woodcore
  • Interface: M-Plate

Fischer RC4 Noize ST Superflex

The Fischer RC4 Noize ST Superflex is specialised for short, dynamic turns. Its 66 mm waist encourages quick edge-to-edge transitions, while its short turn radius makes it easy to link tight arcs. The Superflex platform supports the ski through the turn and Noize Control technology helps keep the ride smooth at higher speeds.

  • Use: slalom and sporty piste skiing
  • Ability level: advanced to expert
  • Waist width: 66 mm
  • Technology: Noize Control
  • Reinforcement: Shaped Ti
  • Platform: Superflex

Fischer RC4 Noize or Noize ST: which should you choose?

The RC4 Noize M-Plate is the more versatile of the two in terms of line choice. It lets you switch between short, medium and longer turns while retaining strong stability at high speed. It suits skiers who want a very capable ski without limiting themselves to just one turn shape.

The RC4 Noize ST Superflex is more specialised. Its short radius and highly responsive behaviour prioritise fast direction changes and sensations close to slalom. It is therefore the most suitable choice for skiers who like to string together plenty of short turns on groomers.

Fischer RC4 ST LYT PR and LT LYT PR: short turns or big arcs?

Fischer RC4 ST LYT PR

The Fischer RC4 ST LYT PR keeps the short-turn focus with a less demanding behaviour than the Noize ST. Its 68 mm waist allows quick edging and its 13 metre radius in 163 cm encourages linked tight turns. Its lightweight LYT PR platform contributes to a more approachable feel.

  • Use: sport carving
  • Ability level: intermediate to advanced
  • Waist width: 68 mm
  • Radius: 13 m in 163 cm
  • Reinforcement: Shaped Ti
  • Interface: LYT PR

Fischer RC4 LT LYT PR

The Fischer RC4 LT LYT PR is aimed at skiers who prefer to let their skis run more freely. Its shape and longer radius favour big turns and stability as speed builds. It nevertheless retains a sufficiently friendly construction to support intermediate to advanced skiers as they progress towards a more athletic style.

  • Use: sport piste skiing
  • Ability level: intermediate to advanced
  • Waist width: 68 mm
  • Radius: 15.5 m in 168 cm
  • Core: beech and poplar
  • Interface: LYT PR

Fischer RC4 ST or LT: what is the difference?

The difference mainly comes down to the type of line you are looking for. The RC4 ST LYT PR has a shorter radius and is quicker to change direction. It is suited to skiers who like to link small turns and keep up a high tempo.

The RC4 LT LYT PR places more emphasis on medium and long turns. Its greater radius gives it a calmer feel when the ski picks up speed. The ST therefore favours liveliness, while the LT puts more focus on stability and more open trajectories.

Fischer RC4 Pro JRS and Race Jr: two skis for young skiers

Fischer RC4 Pro JRS

The Fischer RC4 Pro JRS is aimed at young skiers who already have good technical foundations and are looking for a more precise ski. Its Sidewall construction provides greater torsional rigidity and edge grip, while Carbon Tech helps keep the ski suited to junior build and power.

  • Use: junior sporty piste skiing
  • Ability level: advanced to expert children
  • Waist width: 69 mm
  • Construction: Sidewall
  • Reinforcement: Carbon Tech
  • Interface: JRS

Fischer RC4 Race Jr

The Fischer RC4 Race Jr takes a more approachable approach. Its Air Power construction and Fiber Tech technology result in a light, fairly supple ski. It takes less effort to initiate turns and is more forgiving of small mistakes, making it well suited to learning and progression on piste.

  • Use: junior piste
  • Ability level: junior beginner to intermediate
  • Lengths: several sizes suitable for children
  • Construction: Air Power
  • Technology: Fiber Tech
  • Interface: JRS

Fischer RC4 Pro JRS or Race Jr: which should you choose?

The RC4 Race Jr is better suited to young skiers who are still learning to control their trajectories. Its light, forgiving construction makes turn initiation easier and demands little energy.

The RC4 Pro JRS is aimed at a more technical young skier, able to tip the ski more onto edge and benefit from a more precise construction. It is therefore the logical next step when the Race Jr becomes too soft or too forgiving.

Fischer RC4 ski boots: performance, flex and last width

The range also includes Fischer ski boots for different ability levels. The sportiest adult models combine a BOA system with a Vacuum Fit shell, but differ in flex and last width. The MV versions offer an intermediate fit, while the LV models prioritise more precise hold for narrow feet.

Which Fischer RC4 boot should you choose?

Model Flex Last width Use Profile
RC4 Carbon Pro LV BOA 130 97 mm High-performance piste skiing Advanced to expert, narrow foot
RC4 130 MV BOA VAC 130 100 mm Sporty piste skiing Advanced to expert, medium foot
RC4 120 MV BOA VAC 120 100 mm Performance piste skiing Advanced to expert, medium foot
RC4 110 MV BOA VAC 110 100 mm Versatile sporty piste skiing Intermediate to advanced, medium foot
RC4 95 LV BOA VAC 95 98 mm Women’s sporty piste skiing Advanced skier, narrow foot
RC4 95 MV BOA VAC 95 100 mm Women’s sporty piste skiing Advanced skier, medium foot
RC4 60 Jr 60 Fit Junior Junior piste skiing Junior beginner to intermediate
RC4 50 Jr 50 Fit Junior Junior piste skiing Children progressing

Fischer RC4 Carbon Pro LV BOA: maximum precision for narrow feet

The Fischer RC4 Carbon Pro LV BOA is the most demanding boot in this selection. Its 130 flex and narrow 97 mm last prioritise a very direct connection between foot and ski. The BOA system ensures even tightening over the lower shell, while the Carbonfused cuff and ZipFit liner reinforce its performance.

  • Use: high-performance piste skiing
  • Ability level: advanced to expert
  • Flex: 130
  • Last width: 97 mm
  • Closure: BOA Fit System
  • Sole: GripWalk

Fischer RC4 130, 120 and 110 MV BOA: which flex should you choose?

Fischer RC4 130 MV BOA VAC

The Fischer RC4 130 MV BOA VAC combines a very stiff flex with an intermediate 100 mm last. It is designed for powerful skiers looking for direct transmission and firm hold at speed. Its BOA system allows progressive adjustment of the lower shell closure, while Vacuum Fit technology lets you customise the fit.

  • Use: sporty piste skiing
  • Ability level: advanced to expert
  • Flex: 130
  • Last width: 100 mm
  • Closure: BOA Fit System
  • Sole: GripWalk

Fischer RC4 120 MV BOA VAC

The Fischer RC4 120 MV BOA VAC retains a strong performance focus while requiring slightly less commitment than the 130 version. Its 120 flex offers a good compromise for technical skiers who want a precise boot for edging their skis without going for maximum stiffness.

  • Use: performance piste skiing
  • Ability level: advanced to expert
  • Flex: 120
  • Last width: 100 mm
  • Closure: BOA Fit System
  • Liner: RC4 Vacuum Fit +Plus D3O

Fischer RC4 110 MV BOA VAC

With a flex of 110, the Fischer RC4 110 MV BOA VAC offers more progressive flexion. It remains sufficiently precise for sporty skiing but is less physically demanding than the 120 and 130 models. Its 100 mm last suits an intermediate fit for medium-width feet.

  • Use: versatile sporty piste skiing
  • Ability level: intermediate to advanced
  • Flex: 110
  • Last width: 100 mm
  • Closure: BOA Fit System
  • Sole: GripWalk

RC4 110, 120 or 130: which stiffness should you choose?

The RC4 110 MV BOA is the most accessible of the three. It suits sporty skiers looking for a good level of hold without needing to put a great deal of pressure into the cuff on every turn.

The RC4 120 MV BOA is an appealing middle ground for advanced to expert skiers. It provides more support and precision while still being usable for a full day on the mountain.

The RC4 130 MV BOA is the stiffest. It is aimed above all at powerful skiers who are able to drive the front of the boot hard. At the same technical level, choosing flex also depends on build and physical power: always taking the highest number is not the best idea, just a brilliant way to make ski days unnecessarily complicated.

Fischer RC4 95 LV or MV: what is the difference?

Fischer RC4 95 LV BOA VAC

The Fischer RC4 95 LV BOA VAC is a women’s ski boot designed for skiers who want a precise fit. Its 98 mm last is particularly well suited to narrow feet, while its 95 flex is progressive enough to combine precision, comfort and control.

  • Use: sporty piste skiing
  • Ability level: advanced to expert
  • Flex: 95
  • Last width: 98 mm
  • Closure: BOA Fit System
  • Sole: GripWalk

Fischer RC4 95 MV BOA VAC

The Fischer RC4 95 MV BOA VAC shares the same flex but uses a 100 mm last. It therefore offers more room for medium-width feet while retaining a sporty character. The BOA closure allows you to fine-tune the wrap around the foot without creating multiple pressure points.

  • Use: sporty piste skiing
  • Ability level: advanced to expert
  • Flex: 95
  • Last width: 100 mm
  • Closure: BOA Fit System
  • Sole: GripWalk

RC4 95 LV or RC4 95 MV: which should you choose?

The two boots share a flex of 95 and a similar positioning. The key difference is the last width. The RC4 95 LV, with its 98 mm last, gives narrow feet a closer, more precise wrap. The RC4 95 MV, at 100 mm, leaves more room around the forefoot.

So the choice is not about selecting the more capable boot, but the one that best matches the shape of your foot. Too much room reduces precision, while an unnecessarily tight fit can quickly turn a day’s skiing into a highly detailed study of blood circulation.

Fischer RC4 50 Jr and 60 Jr: boots suited to young skiers

Fischer RC4 60 Jr

The Fischer RC4 60 Jr is aimed at young skiers who already have the basics down and want to gain in precision. Its 60 flex provides more support than an entry-level boot while still being appropriate for the power of a child or a light teenager.

  • Use: junior piste skiing
  • Ability level: beginner to intermediate
  • Flex: 60
  • Last width: Fit Junior
  • Liner: thermoformable
  • Sole: GripWalk

Fischer RC4 50 Jr

The Fischer RC4 50 Jr has a softer flex that makes pressure transfer easier and reduces the effort required from young legs. It is suitable for children progressing on piste and needing a boot that offers support without the stiffness of a sportier junior model.

  • Use: junior piste skiing
  • Ability level: intermediate to advanced
  • Flex: 50
  • Last width: Fit Junior
  • Closure: 3 buckles and Velcro strap
  • Sole: GripWalk

Fischer RC4 50 Jr or 60 Jr: which should you choose?

The RC4 50 Jr has a softer flex and is better suited to young skiers who need ease when flexing the boot and working on their pressure control. The RC4 60 Jr offers more support and precision to accompany progression towards a more athletic style of skiing.

The choice mainly depends on the child’s build and technical level. A junior boot that is too stiff will not make a youngster progress faster: it may instead stop them flexing properly and make skiing more difficult.

Fischer RC4 or The Curv: what are the differences?

The Fischer RC4 and The Curv ranges are both aimed at piste performance, but their positioning differs. The RC4 range includes more models specialised according to turn type, notably the ST models focused on short turns and the LT models designed for longer lines.

The Fischer The Curv range places more emphasis on varying turn radii on the same ski. Its GT models also broaden the use with waists from 76 to 85 mm, making them better suited to snow that becomes soft or uneven.

A RC4 Noize ST or RC4 ST will therefore suit a skier looking for short, quick turns, whereas an RC4 LT favours longer arcs. A The Curv is generally better for someone who wants to vary their line more over the course of a single day, particularly with the wider GT models.
