Product description — The Curv Ti Twin Pr Purple

Designed for stringing together tight turns on groomed slopes, the Fischer The Curv Ti Twin Pr Purple ski combines a slalom-specific sidecut with a responsive construction that helps you pick up speed in short turns.

What is the Fischer The Curv Ti Twin Pr Purple ski designed for?

With a 70 mm waist and a 13 m radius, this ski is built for tight, carved turns on hard snow. The classic camber underfoot maintains solid grip along the entire length of the edge, all the way to the tip. The rocker at the tip makes it easier to initiate turns and ensures a smooth transition from one edge to the other. The Twin Powerrail and Titanal reinforcement directly transfer pressure from the boot to the edge, for an energetic burst of speed out of the turn.

Who is the Fischer The Curv Ti Twin Pr Purple ski designed for?

This ski is designed for intermediate to advanced skiers who are already technically comfortable on the piste and want to work on short, sharp turns and improve their slalom carving skills without changing their equipment.

What are the main qualities of the Fischer The Curv Ti Twin Pr Purple ski?

Precision

Responsiveness

Edge grip

Does the Curv Ti Twin Pr Purple perform well on icy snow?

Yes. The Titanal reinforcement and straight-side sandwich construction maintain a sharp edge, even when the slope hardens toward the end of the day.

Can you string together long turns with this ski?

That’s not its forte. Its short sidecut naturally lends itself to tight turns; for longer turns, the sidecut forces you to apply more pressure.

Is the Curv Ti Twin Pr Purple responsive from edge to edge?

Yes. The rocker at the tip, combined with its 70 mm waist width and Twin Powerrail, speeds up edge changes, and the energy return coming out of turns allows for a sustained rhythm in linked turns.

What’s the difference between the Curv Ti Twin Pr Purple and the Curv GT 76 Twin Pr Grey?

The Ti Twin Pr Purple is narrower underfoot and has a shorter radius, making it significantly more responsive in tight, carved turns. The GT 76 is designed with a mid-range width to perform well even on less-groomed snow; the Purple, on the other hand, truly shines in a more slalom-oriented discipline.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.

Setting the release value of your bindings is a major safety issue.

In order to fully function and ensure safety, your bindings need to be set according to the Afnor FD S 52-748 standard. We wrote down a guide to help you find out the release value matching your needs.
