Ski Bantam

The Bantam is made with a foam shell and cap construction, which makes the ski both light and strong. Flex level, it is well balanced between flexibility and reactivity allowing you to progress while maintaining comfort. It also benefits from reinforced edges to prevent it from leaving a piece of the edge on the snowpark rails.

What is the programme of the Armada Bantam ski?

With the Bantam, your little guy will be able to enjoy the resort all day long and alternate between the piste and freestyle skiing. Its classic camber and intermediate flex offer lots of efficiency on hard snow, with good grip and rebound between turns. That's enough to improve technically and follow mum and dad without problems. In freestyle, it's a real bispatulated ski, with some pop to jump on the kickers in the snowpark, and enough width for fun in the small powder snow and the bumps on the edges of the slope.

This model is designed for young skiers from intermediate to advanced levels. Accessible as soon as you have mastered the basics of skiing, it allows you to continue to progress throughout the resort and evolve towards freestyle skiing.

Do you fit the bindings on skis?

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

Are the skis ready to use?

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

Is the equipment under guarantee?

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
