The finest ski in the Trace range of women's touring skis, the Armada Trace 88 is nonetheless able to cope with a variety of snow conditions during descents, giving you the benefit of a good ride with dynamism and stability.

What is the programme of the Armada Trace 88 women's ski touring range?

The Trace 88 is a very high-quality ski with an ultra-light construction offering responsiveness and robustness. Its caruba wood shell is the lightest of the brand, but offers bounce in turns and cushioning at high speeds. It allows the ski to weigh only 1,125 grams per slat in a size 162, so you'll be light on your feet when you make your ascents. You economize, knowing that you will still be able to enjoy the descent. Its profile with a front rocker, classic camber in the centre and a flat heel, makes it possible to have a fairly precise ski in the curves and very healthy on hard snow. It remains fairly easy to control, thanks particularly to its well-dosed flex. Finally, the 88 mm skid and the front spatula rockers allow the ski to also evolve in powder, even if it is limited in really deep snow. It is therefore a ski with which you can make real hikes over beautiful distances, but also send a little bit during descents.

How to choose the length of your skis?

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

What kind of skis should I buy ?

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

Do you fit the bindings on skis?

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

Are the skis ready to use?

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

Is the equipment under guarantee?

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
