Product description — Bent Jr 140-150

The Atomic Bent Jr 140-150 ski is a junior all-mountain freestyle ski for young riders ages 8 to 12 who want to explore the entire resort, tackle a variety of terrains, and start having fun on the mountain.

What are the features of the Atomic Bent Jr 140-150 ski?

With an 85 mm waist width, it offers a good balance between on-piste maneuverability and support when the snow gets soft. The All Mountain Rocker profile makes it easier to initiate turns and execute quick pivots, helping riders chain together direction changes. The classic camber underfoot maintains grip on hard snow for confident skiing. The Densolite Core foam absorbs vibrations and keeps the ski lightweight, so it won’t tire out young riders.

Who is the Atomic Bent Jr 140-150 designed for?

This ski is designed for young beginner to intermediate riders who want to improve their skills throughout the entire ski area with an accessible and progressive ski capable of venturing a little beyond the groomed runs.

What are the main features of the Atomic Bent Jr 140-150 ski?

Maneuverable

Progressive

Is the Bent Jr 140-150 easy to handle?

Yes. The Densolite foam core and tip rocker make it easy to string turns together without requiring any special effort from young skiers.

Does this ski grip well on hard snow?

Yes. The classic camber underfoot maintains edge-to-snow contact along the entire length of the ski, providing solid grip on groomed runs.

Can the Bent Jr 140-150 handle off-piste skiing?

On the edge of the piste and in light powder, yes. For more challenging off-piste terrain or deep powder, its all-mountain piste-oriented design shows its limitations.

What’s the difference between the Bent Jr 140-150 and the Bent Chetler Mini 153-163?

The Bent Jr 140-150 is narrower, with an All Mountain Rocker profile and a composite core, designed for on-piste progression and the edge of the piste. The Bent Chetler Mini 153-163 is wider, features a more dynamic Light Weight Woodcore, and incorporates HRZN Tech, making it much more at home in powder and freeride conditions.

Tips and advice

How to choose the length of your skis?

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.

Setting the release value of your bindings is a major safety issue.

In order to fully function and ensure safety, your bindings need to be set according to the Afnor FD S 52-748 standard. We wrote down a guide to help you find out the release value matching your needs.

When buying a pair of skis, you will have to complete a form asking for your measurements. Please complete it with the most accurate information: it will allow our technicians to adjust precisely your bindings and lower down the risk of injury.
