Description

Designed for demanding on-piste skiers, the Atomic E Redster Q6 Pt ski combines a solid wood core, a double Titanal layer, and a World Cup base to deliver precise, stable, and fast performance on groomed snow.

What are the features of the Atomic E Redster Q6 Pt ski?

With a 79 mm waist width, this ski is designed for performance on the piste, featuring a slightly wider profile that provides confidence when conditions vary throughout the day. The classic camber ensures immediate grip on hard snow and a crisp acceleration out of turns. The versatile turn radius allows you to transition from tight turns to longer arcs without changing your rhythm. The World Cup Base Finish reduces friction for top-level glide.

Who is the Atomic E Redster Q6 Pt designed for?

This ski is designed for intermediate to advanced skiers who are already technically comfortable and want a demanding, high-performance piste ski. The solid wood core and double Titanal layers require sustained physical effort: you’ll need strong thighs and good weight distribution to unlock the full potential of this construction.

What are the main qualities of the Atomic E Redster Q6 Pt ski?

Power

Precision

Glide

Does the Redster Q6 grip well on hard snow?

Yes. The double Titanal TI Powered construction, combined with classic camber and the Dura Cap Sidewall design, delivers direct and crisp edge grip, even on icy slopes.

Does the World Cup base make a real difference?

Yes. The World Cup Base Finish reduces friction between the base and the snow. On groomed runs, this translates to better glide and smoother acceleration coming out of turns.

Is the Redster Q6 comfortable on uneven snow?

The pure ash and poplar wood core offers good snow feel and natural rebound, but without the Densolite found in lower-end models in the line, vibration damping is reduced. On rough snow, you’ll need to use your legs to support the ski.

What’s the difference between the Redster Q6 and the Redster Q5?

The Q6 has a 100% wood core (ash and poplar) without Densolite foam, a wider waist, and a World Cup base. It offers better snow feel, better glide, and greater stability at high speeds, but requires more technical skill and physical effort than the Q5.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.

Setting the release value of your bindings is a major safety issue.

In order to fully function and ensure safety, your bindings need to be set according to the Afnor FD S 52-748 standard. We wrote down a guide to help you find out the release value matching your needs.
