Can the RC4 LT LYT PR be used in soft snow or off-piste?

No. Without rocker, the classic camber maintains continuous edge-to-snow contact, which gives it its precision on the piste but makes it unsuitable for soft snow, on the edge of the piste, or off-piste.

What does the LYT PR system offer compared to a traditional base plate?

The lightweight Powerrail version improves power transfer between the foot and the ski while reducing weight. The ski responds faster when entering turns and is less tiring to control over a long day.

Does the World Cup Tuning finish make a difference right out of the box?

What’s the difference between the RC4 LT LYT PR and the RC4 ST LYT PR?

The RC4 LT (Large Turn) is optimized for wide turns with a radius of approximately 15.5 m: greater stability at speed and wide, fluid turns. The RC4 ST (Short Turn) is designed for short, slalom-style turns with a radius of approximately 13 m: more responsiveness and rapid turn sequences. With identical base profiles and shared technologies, it’s the turning characteristics that set them apart, and the LT clearly has the advantage on wide, fast runs.

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.
