Product description — Supershape E-Magnum

The Head Supershape E-Magnum is a high-performance piste ski built around a wood core, featuring a Worldcup Sandwich Cap construction with titanal and graphene, and a Crossforce Carbon layer that directly links the binding to the ski’s structure for instant power transmission on groomed slopes.

What is the Head Supershape E-Magnum designed for?

With a 72 mm waist, this model from the Supershape range combines precision on hardpack with a touch more width for easier handling when the snow softens. The traditional camber combined with a Speed Rocker at the tip ensures smooth turn initiation without compromising edge grip on firm snow. The Crossforce Carbon creates a direct connection between the binding and the ski for immediate energy transfer. The EMC system filters vibrations at both the tip and tail, keeping the ski stable and accurate as the pace increases.

Who is the Head Supershape E-Magnum for?

This ski is aimed at advanced to expert skiers who are fit and looking for a technical piste ski capable of varying turn shapes while maintaining strong edge hold on hard snow.

What are the strengths of the Head Supershape E-Magnum?

Edge grip

Versatility

Rebound

Is the Supershape E-Magnum suitable for carving on hardpack?

Yes. The traditional camber and Worldcup Sandwich Cap construction provide solid edge hold and powerful rebound at the end of the turn, even on icy surfaces.

Does the Supershape E-Magnum handle well in variable snow?

Yes. The tip rocker makes steering easier when the snow softens, and its slightly wider profile compared to other Supershape models improves the handling late in the day as the snow transforms.

What is the role of the EMC on the Supershape E-Magnum?

The EMC, in the tip and tail, converts vibrations into electrical energy to neutralise them. The ski remains composed and precise at high speed and on uneven terrain.

Is the Supershape E-Magnum limited to one type of turn?

No. Its versatile turn radius allows you to switch between short and long turns depending on your preference and the terrain.

What is the difference between the Supershape E-Magnum and the Supershape E-Titan?

Both share the same Worldcup Sandwich Cap construction with titanal, graphene, Crossforce Carbon, EMC, and Speed Rocker. The E-Titan is wider, offering better handling in soft or variable snow. The E-Magnum, being narrower, is livelier and more incisive on hardpack thanks to its slimmer profile. Both have a versatile turn radius, but the E-Titan pushes versatility further due to its added width.

Tips and advice

How to choose the length of your skis?

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.

Setting the release value of your bindings is a major safety issue.

In order to fully function and ensure safety, your bindings need to be set according to the Afnor FD S 52-748 standard. We wrote down a guide to help you find out the release value matching your needs.
