Description

Designed to support young skiers as they progress on groomed slopes, the Head Supershape Team Easy Jrs (127-157) skis combine a Jr. Power Frame construction with a tip rocker and ERA 2.0 platform to make turn transitions smoother and handling more intuitive.

What is the intended use of the Head Supershape Team Easy Jrs (127-157) skis?

With a 67 mm waist and a versatile turn radius, these skis are built to help youngsters learn how to vary their turns on groomed trails without focusing on a specific discipline. The traditional camber ensures solid edge grip on hardpack and good rebound between turns. The tip rocker softens turn initiation and forgives minor mistakes. The UHM C base offers excellent durability and consistent glide in all conditions.

Who are the Head Supershape Team Easy Jrs (127-157) skis for?

These skis are designed for young beginner to intermediate skiers who want to progress with confidence on an easy-handling, reassuring and progressive ski. Available in lengths from 127 to 157 cm, they are ideal for children who have moved beyond the very first learning stage and are starting to link turns on green and blue runs.

What are the strengths of the Head Supershape Team Easy Jrs (127-157) skis?

Forgiveness

Agility

Progressive performance

Do the Supershape Team Easy Jrs (127-157) skis hold an edge on hard snow?

Yes. The traditional camber and continuous edge contact provide reliable grip on groomed pistes, perfectly adequate for a young skier developing their technique.

Is the tip rocker really useful on a junior piste ski?

Yes. It makes turn initiation easier and the ski more forgiving when the young skier’s stance isn’t perfect. In soft or variable snow, it also helps maintain smooth, fluid handling.

Are the Supershape Team Easy Jrs (127-157) skis designed for racing?

No. These are recreational piste skis built for progression, not for competition or high performance. For a racing-oriented model, the Supershape Jrs would be more suitable.

What is the difference between the Supershape Team Easy Jrs (127-157) and the Supershape Team Easy Jrs (87-117)?

Both share the same recreational focus and Jr. Power Frame construction with ERA 2.0 technology. The 87-117 version is aimed at very young beginners (lengths 87 to 117 cm) with a short turn radius to make first turns easier. The 127-157 version is for older children (lengths 127 to 157 cm) with a more versatile radius that allows them to vary their turns as their skills develop.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.

Setting the release value of your bindings is a major safety issue.

In order to fully function and ensure safety, your bindings need to be set according to the Afnor FD S 52-748 standard. We wrote down a guide to help you find out the release value matching your needs.
