Description

The first ski in the Supershape range designed for the youngest skiers, the Head Supershape Team Easy Jrs (87-117) ski is an entry-level piste ski featuring a lightweight Jr. Power Frame construction, a tip rocker, and an ERA 2.0 platform that make learning the first turns easier.

What is the intended use of the Head Supershape Team Easy Jrs (87-117) ski?

With a 67 mm waist and a short turning radius, this ski is built for learning to carve on groomed slopes with minimal effort. The traditional camber provides edge grip and stability on hardpack snow. The tip rocker makes turn initiation easier and more forgiving of balance errors. The Jr. Power Frame construction ensures structural strength along the outer edge without adding unnecessary weight.

Who is the Head Supershape Team Easy Jrs (87-117) ski for?

This ski is designed for young beginner to intermediate skiers discovering the joys of skiing and learning their first turns. Available from 87 to 117 cm, it suits the smallest children who need a lightweight, forgiving, and easy-to-handle ski.

Yes. The traditional camber keeps the ski in contact with the snow along its full length, providing sufficient edge grip for a young skier learning on groomed runs.

Does the tip rocker really help a beginner child?

Yes. It lifts the tip to prevent it from catching in the snow and makes turn initiation smoother, reducing the effort required to steer.

Is the base of the Supershape Team Easy Jrs (87-117) durable?

Yes. The structured E Base is built to last and withstand repeated friction on groomed snow, making it ideal for frequent use.

What is the difference between the Supershape Team Easy Jrs (87-117) and the Supershape Jrs (110-120)?

The Team Easy Jrs (87-117) is a recreational entry-level ski with a Jr. Power Frame composite core construction and a tip rocker, designed for learning first turns. The Supershape Jrs (110-120) is a junior racing ski with a Power Sidewall Jacket composite wood core construction, built for performance. The intended use, construction, and target skier are different.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
