Product description — Dx85 Women

The Dx85 Women from Kastle features an all-mountain profile: on hard snow, the 85 mm waist provides quick edge transfers, while the camber promotes mid turn grip and precision. On soft snow on the sides of the slopes, the waist provides some floatability while the front rocker enables to lift easily. However, this women’s ski offers the most performance on groomed slopes and skiers from the intermediate level will appreciate its good edge hold and carving performance thanks to fiberglass reinforcements and Hollowtech technology. The latter is Kastle’s invention, it makes the tip lighter as well as stiffer and less prone to vibrations. This offers a smoother and more comfortable ride even at high-speed.

Ich würde die Skier sehr empfehlen! Ich würde sagen, ich bin ein Zwischen Skifahrer, die auf roten Pisten leicht gehen kann. Diese Skier waren erstaunlich auf den Pisten. Sie waren leicht zu carven auf mit Kontrolle. Ich bin 167cm und 56kg. Ich habe sie auf der kürzeren Seite gewählt, weil ich eine bessere Kontrolle beim Drehen haben wollte. Sie greifen sehr gut auf hartem Schnee und gleiten auf Pulverschnee und weichem Schnee. Sie sind auch leicht und einfach zu tragen. Die Skier sind gut verarbeitet und ich mag das Material, das auf der Oberseite der Skier verwendet wurde.

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.
