Description

With the Salomon Qst 94 Iced Aqua ski, you enter the world of pure freeride. Versatile thanks to its 94 mm waist, it turns every ride into a playground as soon as the snow gets deep. Once you leave the groomers, it promises greater freedom and true ease in all changing conditions.

What is the Salomon Qst 94 Iced Aqua ski made for?

Designed for freeride skiing, this model loves moving from deep powder to tracked-out snow, while still holding its own on firmer sections. Its 94 mm waist provides float when you venture into fresh pow and stability on groomers. The traditional camber underfoot ensures solid edge grip when things get hard or crusty. The double rocker at the tip and tail makes for quick pivots, perfect for weaving between trees and tracing wide turns in fresh snow. Its poplar core is reinforced with basalt and fibreglass for added stability. All of this is combined with the Cork Damplifier insert, designed to absorb terrain irregularities for maximum comfort.

Who is the Salomon Qst 94 Iced Aqua ski aimed at?

The Qst 94 Iced Aqua is aimed at intermediate to advanced skiers seeking a playful ski to explore the backcountry without sacrificing performance on groomers. It’s ideal for those wanting to progress towards more freedom while maintaining confidence on all types of terrain.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
