Description

Scott's new Slight line of cross over skis for the 2017-2018 winter season has made a lot of noise and is back in force for its second year. The Slight 100 has the same construction as the 93 but with a wider platform, which allows to gain floatation in deep. Yet it is one of the few 100mm skis that can claim to be almost more comfortable on piste than in powder. This is a ski with great skiability on all terrain and which can be used as well for freetouring thanks to its ultra-light construction.

What can the Scott Slight 100 ski do?
The Slight 100 is a high-performance ski that allows to go absolutely everywhere: from the red slope to the steep couloirs and powder fields. In addition, this ski enables you to reach these spots touring! This extraordinary versatility is due to a very sophisticated construction combining wood, fibreglass, carbon and aramid, added to several design innovations such as the Sidecut 3Dimensions or the progressive rise of the Pro-Tip Rocker. The result is an incredibly light ski when ascending, but with great abilities once descending the slope. Excellent in pow, it is also great on hard snow, where it will remain very stable at high speed. Its rather long turning radius, which varies from 16 to 20 meters depending on the ski length, will allow you to ski fast and furious.

Who is the Scott Slight 100 ski designed for?
The Slight 100 is a great choice for advanced to expert skiers who like to go high, to go touring for pure fresh snow, while being able to enjoy skiing on piste.

What are the main assets of the Scott Slight 100 ski?
Buoyancy in powder
Grip on hard snow
Performance/weight ratio

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
