Description

The Black Crows Camox Birdie Jr is a gateway to exploring the full diversity of the mountain. Designed for all-mountain skiing, this ski is aimed at dynamic young female skiers who crave versatility and thrills on varied terrain. Its carefully crafted and robust construction, combined with well-chosen technical features, makes it a reliable companion for teenage girls aged 14 to 18 who want to push their limits with style and confidence.

What is the Black Crows Camox Birdie Jr ski made for?

The Camox Birdie Jr stands out with its 90 mm waist, a smart choice for a versatile experience across the whole mountain. This intermediate width provides good float in powder while maintaining enjoyable manoeuvrability on groomers. Thanks to its double rocker, the ski floats easily and turns smoothly, while its traditional camber ensures reliable edge grip on hard snow and a lively rebound at the end of each turn. Its Semi Cap construction, combined with ABS sidewalls and a poplar wood core reinforced with fibreglass, achieves the ideal balance between responsiveness, durability, and forgiveness for efficient skiing in all conditions.

Who is the Black Crows Camox Birdie Jr ski aimed at?

This model is intended for young skiers with an intermediate to advanced level who want to progress technically while having fun on all types of terrain. Thanks to its forgiving flex and solid grip, the Camox Birdie Jr remains friendly while allowing skiers to develop their style, whether on groomers, in the side country, or in more variable snow conditions.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
