Description

The M-Tour 87 CA has the same shape that made the former Mythic 87 Pro so successful, with a more modern construction that offers great performance both on ascents and descents. It features a hybrid wood and polyurethane shell combined with basalt and carbon fibres. The combination offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio, making it possible to have a ski that weighs only 1,200 grams (per slat, in size 171 cm) whilst retaining character.

What is the programme of the Dynastar M-Tour 87 CA ski?

As light as it is, the M-Tour allows you to swallow the D+ without any problem, even in soft snow or snowy terrains thanks to its large spatula. The M-Tour offers a smooth and stable ride during descents. Its 87 mm waist width and large front spatula make it easy to float, which is excellent for taking advantage of the great off-piste conditions. On hard snow, the grip is good but is not suitable for engagement on terrains that combines steep slopes and hard snow. The torsional stiffness is satisfactory, but it is really the size and rocker of the front spatula that doesn't allow the ski to have the grip necessary for more committed terrains. The trade-off for having a ski that is both light and works well in the cooler conditions.

Who is the Dynastar M-Tour 87 CA ski for?

We recommend this model to intermediate/confirmed to very experienced skiers who already have a little experience in touring and who are looking for a ski suitable for ascents and descents under good snow conditions without exhaustion.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
