Description

The La Machine 2 Mini Black is a freetouring ski designed by Faction. All the skis in the La Machine range feature classic camber, making them particularly well-rounded. What sets the La Machine 2 Mini Black model from the rest are its waist width and versatile behaviour, as this model is meant equally for hard snow and powder.

What is the program of the Faction La Machine 2 Mini Black ski?

Featuring a 99 mm wide waist, the La Machine 2 Mini Black ski is capable of performing in powder where it will float naturally, without being exclusively dedicated to this type of snow as it can also be used on the harder kinds of snow you can find when skinning your way up. Its classic camber enables it to be very manoeuvrable and to face powder easily. In addition, the ski's profile is paired to substantial rockers at the tips to facilitate the lift and enhance the ski’s manoeuvrability. The result is a fun model with which you will experience unique sensations during your free touring sessions in the back country.

Who is the Faction La Machine 2 Mini Black ski for?

As most ski touring model, we recommend it to skilled skiers.  All the more, as this ski features classic camber which provides good grip on hard snow. Advanced or even expert level skiers will have a blast skiing down the mountains on immaculate slopes with the La Machine 2 Mini Black on their feet.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
