The Faction Studio 1 is a freestyle ski designed to deliver outstanding performance in the terrain park as well as in the halfpipe, while still being capable of venturing beyond the groomers thanks to its robust construction. Its wood core reinforced with carbon ensures power and stability, all while maintaining exemplary manoeuvrability. The twin-tip shape makes skiing switch easy, and its 90 mm waist provides good float in fresh snow without compromising efficiency on harder snow.

What is the Faction Studio 1 ski made for?

The Studio 1 is a genuine freestyle ski, perfect for chaining together tricks, jumps, and technical lines in a variety of snow conditions. Its 90 mm width underfoot allows for solid float in light powder while still performing across the entire ski area. Carbon and rubber reinforcements under the binding help absorb impacts on landings. The carbon in the structure increases torsional rigidity, ensuring greater precision and stability. Its traditional camber promotes grip on hard snow, while the double rocker makes transitions and float easier. How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.
