Description

Within K2’s Mindbender range there are 2 categories of skis: the ones with titanium, which are stiff and the ones with carbon, which are more flexible. The Mindbender 90C belongs to the latter category of flexible and lightweight carbon skis. Its specific construction makes it easy to handle and more forgiving than its titanium counterparts, perfect for a fun and versatile all-mountain style.

What is the program of the K2 Mindbender 90C ski?

Its 90 mm wide waist allows both to float in shallow powder around groomed runs and change edges rather quickly on the slopes. Its wood core reinforced by layers of carbon makes it dynamic and lively, while being relatively stable at high-speed, even if it is naturally less so than its titanium bigger brothers. The classic camber + double rocker profile promotes this versatility, as the double rocker facilitates pivots and floatability, while the classic camber provides grip on groomed snow. When you want to demonstrate your precision and power in the turns, the sandwich construction ensures the ski’s torsional stiffness and provides excellent support in the middle of turns.

Who is the K2 Mindbender 90C ski for?

The Mindbender 90C will suit well intermediate skiers in the middle of their progression who want to have fun in the resort with a very versatile ski. It will also very well suit advanced skiers who want to evolve more toward freeriding, for which its dynamic construction will allow to trace beautiful lines between the trees. This is a ski with which you will be able to discover off-piste skiing without putting yourself in trouble when it comes to technical skills.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
