Description

Now more powerful with its new construction, the K2 Poacher is more ready than ever to send big freestyle/backcountry. The carbon weave has been replaced by carbon spars on the top of the ski, which increases the initial bounce and stability. The ski has a good ollie pop, relaunches better in the turns and is more stable at high speed. The rest of the ski still has the same versatile freeskiing program with a big freestyle grain.

What is the program of the K2 Poacher ski?

With 96mm in the waist width, 124 in the front and 118 in the back, the K2 Poacher has the necessary volume to have fun when the big snow has accumulated in the off-piste areas of your resort. Take it out straight away and take advantage of the float and manoeuvrability offered by the sidecut and the front/rear rockers to link slashes and turns between the pines, then throw a rota on a natural kicker. On less epic days, head to the snowpark to continue to infiltrate the resort with the Poacher's freestyle DNA. With its bispatulated shape, classic camber section and the energy of its wood/carbon construction, you've got everything needed for comfort on hard snow, blasting down the slopes or bleeding the snowpark lines. Nice curves, switch turns, rails, kickers, everything is possible and at any speed. If it is a ski with a playful temperament, its volume and its firm flex still require a good technical ease to pilot it.

Who is the K2 Poacher ski designed for?

This model is designed for experienced to expert skiers looking for a powerful and versatile freestyle ski with which they can send as many tricks as they want in the snowpark or in the backcountry.

What are the main qualities of the K2 Poacher ski?

Versatility

Manoeuvrability

Compromise between performance and accessibility

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
