Jones Flagship and Flagship Pro snowboards: big-mountain freeride DNA

The Flagship and Flagship Pro share the same tapered directional shape (a narrower tail than nose), a Directional Rocker profile (camber underfoot for edge hold and rebound, rocker in the nose for float) and Traction Tech 3.0 serrated edges. Two powerful, precise boards, set apart by their level of stiffness.

Flagship or Flagship Pro: two levels of commitment

The Jones Flagship is the benchmark freeride board for advanced to expert snowboarders who like to charge: precise, stable and comfortable across all terrain, it handles speed without flinching while remaining manageable day to day for a capable rider. It offers the best balance of power and approachability in the range.

The Flagship Pro takes things to the max: stiffer, more responsive and lightened with carbon, it is the most radical version, reserved for freeride experts who want to push their limits in high-altitude terrain. Physically demanding, it gives back everything you put into it.

Jones Flagship vs Flagship Pro: comparison table

  Jones Flagship Jones Flagship Pro
Terrain Freeride / hard-charging all-mountain Expert freeride, high altitude
Flex Stiff Very stiff
Profile Directional Rocker Directional Rocker
Shape Directional Directional
Construction Power Core, bamboo + basalt stringers, Triax, Carbon/Innegra Ash, bamboo, paulownia + carbon (lighter, stiffer)
Edges Traction Tech 3.0 Traction Tech 3.0
Level Advanced to expert Expert

On snow, both models deliver the same riding profile: maximum performance on groomers, in powder, with strong edge grip and impressive stability. Jibbing and kickers are clearly not their thing; these are freeride boards, not park decks. The Flagship Pro pushes stiffness even further for riders who know how to make the most of it.

Frequently asked questions about the Jones Flagship

Flagship or Flagship Pro: which should you choose?

The Flagship is already a very demanding board, ideal for an advanced to expert rider who charges hard. The Flagship Pro goes further: stiffer, more reactive and lighter thanks to carbon, it is meant for experts looking for the most radical freeride performance available.

Is the Jones Flagship suitable for beginners?

No. Its stiff flex and directional shape require solid technique and commitment. You are better off having at least an advanced level, and expert ability for the Pro version.

Is the Flagship suited to both powder and piste?

Yes, that is the whole point of the tapered directional shape and camber + rocker profile: float in powder and reliable edge hold on hard snow, without sacrificing carving performance.

Which size Jones Flagship should you choose?

The size depends on your weight, build and riding style. Use the calculator available on our website to determine a suitable size range.
