Zag Ubac range

Developed at the Zag Lab, the Ubac touring ski range from the Chamonix-based brand Zag stands out for its performance on both the ascent and descent. The skis in the Ubac family deliver excellent skiability, outstanding manoeuvrability, the best possible weight-to-performance ratio and reliable performance across varied terrain, making them ideal for all your mountain adventures. It is no coincidence that Ubac skis are used by Chamonix mountain guides. The brand also offers alpine skis, such as the Slap range, for backcountry skiing.

Its generous waist width ensures impressive float.

This is the ideal model for big sessions in deep snow, while still allowing you to reach the top under your own steam. Powerful and demanding, the Ubac 110 is aimed primarily at advanced to expert skiers looking for a freetouring ski for deep-powder days and long off-piste adventures.

What is the difference between Zag Ubac and Adret skis?

The Zag Ubac and Zag Adret represent two complementary approaches to ski touring from the Chamonix-based brand.
The Ubac range is designed for freetouring; in other words, for skiers who want to enjoy the ascent as much as the thrill of the descent with a model offering consistently dependable skiability.

The Adret models, by contrast, prioritise low weight and uphill efficiency. Their lightweight carbon and Kevlar construction significantly reduces fatigue on long climbs while retaining good grip and precise control on the descent. The flat tail provides excellent hold when making kick turns. This model is intended for ski tourers seeking a lightweight ski for fast ascents.
