Atomic Maverick for men and Maven for women: how do you choose?

These Atomic skis ranges, Maverick for men and Maven for women, follow a similar structure: the construction type first separates the LT, C and CTi models, while the waist width defines their focus, from piste to freeride. However, Maverick and Maven references should be compared within their own range, as their dimensions, available lengths and construction are not necessarily identical from one model to another.

LT, C or CTi: Maverick and Maven constructions

The first step is to choose the construction level. Each family has its own character before you even take waist width into account.

C	Maverick 86 C Maven 86 C	A construction incorporating carbon to deliver greater lightness, energy and precision than the LT models.

Once this first selection has been made, the waist width helps refine your choice according to your preferred terrain.

The 84 to 88 mm models are mainly suited to piste skiing with forays onto the sides of the runs. From 94-96 mm upwards, the skis float better and feel more comfortable in variable, transformed snow. The 103 to 115 mm versions are clearly geared towards freeride skiing.

Rental versions: what are the differences?

Atomic offers certain models in an R (Rental) version, notably the Maverick 84 R LT and Maven 86 R. These skis are designed for hire fleets. They keep the same intended use as the consumer models, but use a slightly simplified construction, particularly with the removal of the carbon reinforcement on the models concerned, to prioritise durability and an even more progressive, user-friendly feel.
