The spearhead of the Armada ARV freestyle ski range, the ARV 96 is the most versatile model. Its 96mm skid, bi-spatulated shape and the toned construction common to the entire range will allow you to vary the terrain as much as you like so you can place your favourite tricks anywhere.   

What is the program of the Armada ARV 96 alpine ski?   

The ARV 96 benefits from the same construction and shape as the entire ARV range, adapted to a 96 mm wide skid. This volume allows for a dynamic and stable ski on almost all types of snow. It remains mobile on the piste, but also passes very well in the snow. Its classic camber and firm wood core give it a good grip on hard snow and when accelerating, while its double rocker makes it easy to lift off and pivot. Finally, the bi-spatulated shape and reinforced edges remind us that this ski is not the last model for switch runs or sessions sanding the snowpark rails.

Super fun skis, pretty bouncy but way to grippy on the edges for me so had to rough up a bit. also a bit gutter as durability of the skis is dreadful. you'd think forking out that amount if money you'd have a pair of planks that hold up but already chunks and scrapes all over topsheet and both nose and tail after only a couple weeks

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
