Description

The Rossignol Arcade 78 Xpress ski embodies Rossignol’s versatile vision through an all-mountain model designed to adapt to the varied demands of the ski area. This ski stands out thanks to a construction that prioritises ease on groomers and the ability to explore different types of snow, offering a real advantage in terms of adaptability depending on the weather or terrain conditions. The smoothness delivered by the technologies integrated into the Arcade 78 Xpress perfectly meets the needs of those looking to vary their sensations throughout a day on the slopes.

What is the Rossignol Arcade 78 Xpress ski made for?

With its 78 mm waist, the Rossignol Arcade 78 Xpress fits squarely into the all-mountain category, ensuring stability on groomers and sufficient support in softer snow. Its profile, featuring a double rocker, enhances float and makes turn initiation easier, allowing for more effortless manoeuvring in transformed snow or when changing pace. The construction combines a PEFC-certified wood core with fibreglass reinforcements, optimising responsiveness, damping, and torsional stiffness on both worked snow and freshly groomed surfaces. Technologies such as VAS for vibration absorption and LCT Racing for longitudinal control help make each turn progressive and comfortable.

Who is the Rossignol Arcade 78 Xpress ski aimed at?

The Rossignol Arcade 78 Xpress is primarily aimed at beginner to intermediate skiers seeking a progressive model that can support their technical development. With its accessible construction and technologies focused on forgiveness, it encourages a reassuring feel while allowing skiers to refine their lines with greater precision as they spend more time on the snow. This choice is particularly well-suited to those wishing to confidently tackle all types of terrain without sacrificing comfort or hindering their progression.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
