The Scott Superguide 88 is a versatile and lightweight touring ski that offers good skiability in the descents and good manoeuvrability to climb without spending too much energy. It is also very comfortable to ski thanks to its wood core and carbon and aramid reinforcements. 

What is the program of the Scott Superguide 88 ski? 

The Superguide 88 is an ideal model for ski touring with its lightweight construction and very stable behaviour. Its beech and paulownia wood core allows you to easily handle this ski and climb without getting exhausted. The carbon and aramid reinforcements contribute to enhancing the stiffness to offer stable and dynamic skiability in the descents. The 90 mm waist provide floatability when you are in deeper snow, without being too cumbersome or difficult to handle. The classic camber under the feet enables to grip on hard snow to feel safe no matter the type of terrain, while the front rocker improves the ability to lift and makes turn initiations easier. At the back, the flat tail promotes grip and provides rebound in the descents. To sum it up, the Superguide 88 is an ideal model to discover wild landscapes or spend a fun day of ski touring with your friends.

How to choose the length of your skis?

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?
On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options: 

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show. 

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products. 

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
