The 90eight is a Völkl freeride ski suited for all-terrain skiers who seek top-notch versatility and high performance. Most suitable for advanced and up level skiers.

In Völkl’s freeride range, the 90eight is probably the most versatile ski you can get. With its 98mm waist and its nimble tip and tail rocker, the ski flows through deep powder just as easily as it lays aggressive trenches on fresh corduroy. Its multi layer wood core construction, its 3D Glass and Carbon stringers coupled with a section of camber underfoot make the ski lively and powerful with a strong edge hold

What can the Völkl 90eight ski do?

Workable in all snow conditions, the 90eight are freeride all mountain skis designed with performance in mind. From the first tracks on untouched powder fields to runs in tighter terrains, the ski feels very nimble on soft snow and floats with a natural ease. The rockers in the tip and tail maximise both floatation and manoeuvrability to keep you in control no matter what’s ahead. On hard snow the ski works wonders as well. Its traditional camber coupled with carbon stringers maximise torsional stiffness and stability at high speeds allowing for carving long arcs as if you were on a piste ski. It’s a ski that likes to be challenged so feel free to push it, you’re going to love it.

Who is the Völkl 90eight ski designed for?

This souped up ski is an excellent choice if you are advanced or expert level skier. Ultra versatile and pretty fun to use, the 90eight works on all terrains and in all conditions, it’s a great one-ski quiver.

What are the main assets of the Völkl 90eight ski?

Tips & advice
On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
