Product description — M7 Mantra W

At Volkl, the M7 Mantra W is an all-mountain ski designed for female skiers seeking new sensations on all types of terrain. Perfect for alternating between groomed slopes and fresh snow in the same day, its main strength lies in versatility. Thanks to its specific design, the ski quickly adapts to changing conditions while maintaining good control. A true concentration of technologies, it stands out for its powerful and precise character, never letting itself be overwhelmed by the terrain.

What is the Volkl M7 Mantra W ski designed for?

The M7 Mantra W ski finds its place across the entire resort, from hard-packed slopes in the morning to softer snow in the late afternoon. With its 96 mm waist, it provides support in powder as well as in transformed snow, without sacrificing precision on compacted surfaces. The combination of a double rocker and traditional camber allows easy turn initiation and good floatation off-piste. Its dynamic wood core works together with carbon reinforcements and Full Sidewall technology to ensure precision and direct power transmission during strong edge pressure. The versatile radius gives freedom to vary turn shapes, while the flat tail adds stability and responsiveness on demanding terrain. This model features Tailored Carbon Tips, which optimize the shovel for smoother turn initiation, and the Tailored Titanal Frame, which provides power, stiffness, and unwavering edge hold even at high speeds. This blend creates a ski that never falters, absorbs shocks without being unsettled, and demands to be fully pushed.

Who is the Volkl M7 Mantra W ski for?

This model is aimed at advanced to expert female skiers seeking a truly technical all-mountain ski—one that performs with confidence on hardpack, choppy snow, or powder alike.

MAGICAL! I read a few reviews before buying. I had some reservations regarding the reviews, but I am happy to say that the skis are much better than I expected or could have imagined. The skis are stable at speed and on various terrain, and most magically responsive. I have skied on many different skis for 35 years and more, starting with the non-carving type (ancient lol). This ski follows your every move incredibly and precisely. It performs great on all terrain (I even tried it on the moguls, in this case I do reccomend lower height). I ordered the 170cm tall version - I paired it with Marker Griffon 13 100mm bindings and Mach1 Lv 105 Td2 Gw W boots. I am167cm tall and weigh 60 kg. This combination works perfectly for me. I ski since i was 5 years old, and I am 42 now - I would say i am advanced but not expert, as I am not in especially great shape, and those crazy black / diamond slopes need a more serious leg and knee work. To sum up, I am ecstatic after skiing on these for 2 days - thank you VOLKL and Glisshop

Tips and advice

How to choose the length of your skis?

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.

Setting the release value of your bindings is a major safety issue.

In order to fully function and ensure safety, your bindings need to be set according to the Afnor FD S 52-748 standard. We wrote down a guide to help you find out the release value matching your needs.

When buying a pair of skis, you will have to complete a form asking for your measurements. Please complete it with the most accurate information: it will allow our technicians to adjust precisely your bindings and lower down the risk of injury.
