Alpine Ski Scott Luna

Ski sold without binding.

Scott are reknowned for making ultra-light touring skis and powerful freeride skis, but they also know how to make women-specific all-mountain skis like this Luna. Its modern shape offers versatility and comfort and the high-end finish shows Scott’s signature.

What can the Scott Luna ski do?

Designed for ripping groomers at high speed, the Scott Luna is a mini rocket, lively, responsive and snappy, it delivers lightning fast edge to edge transfers and rails thoughout the turns with an impressive efficency. As if this wasn’t enough, the Luna also performs on icy or soft snow and does just as well as on fresh groomed snow. It’s a voracious all-mountain beast that likes to tear the mountain apart. Go past the ropes and enjoy its natural buoyancy on powder. The ski links flawless turns on the deep and feels great. Its construction brings forgiveness to your riding and lets you cruise down the slopes if you don’t feel like charging. All in all, the Scott Lune adapts to the skier’s mood and works like a dream in all conditions.

Who is the Scott Luna ski designed for?

It is suitable for a large crowd of skiers but we mainly recommend it to sporty women with an intermediate level who want to be able to push on their skis and get something in return. It delivers tons of versatility and allows women to ride through the entire resort with peace of mind.

Structure - Construction

  • Sandwich construction with slanted sidewalls and elliptic laminates  : FORGIVENESS & VERSATILITY - SSCL combines a laminate top and bottom sheet with a traditional sandwich sidewall construction. SCOTT optimized material usage to provide a construction that drastically reduces the weight of the ski. Specific braiding and different combinations of laminates guarantee the best possible construction for their intended use.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Venturi-Tip Rocker S  :

Venturi-Tip Rocker combines a hollowed tip with a rocker shape. The resulting Venturi-Tip Rocker design allows for great float and better tracking, yielding a highly versatile performer in variable conditions.

    +Excellent float and turn initiation

+Offers stability at high speeds in all conditions

+Reduces surface pressure resulting in improved ski handling

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

  • Dual Radius  :

Traditional skis have a fixed radius that determines the length of every turn. SCOTT skis combine two radii (dual radius) to create the sidecut or “shape” of the ski. By incorporating the Dual Radius concept, the ski can turn when you want it to turn, resulting in a more versatile ski which is not confined to one type of skiing or terrain.

  • Factory Finish  :

SCOTT skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

  • Pre Track  :

When developing Pre-Track, SCOTT designed skis with wide tips and/or slightly turned up tails. With Pre-Track, SCOTT skis employ a smaller effective edge for short radius turns on groomed slopes and a longer effective edge when making bigger turns or skiing off-piste. The result is a more precise, stable, reliable and versatile ski.
