Blizzard

The Austrian ski brand Blizzard was founded by Toni Arnsteiner in 1953 in Mittersill. Eight years earlier, he had made his first pair of skis for personal use in his father's carpentry workshop. In 1980, Blizzard revolutionised the ski world with its new Thermo model, which adapts to temperature. More than 40 years later, Blizzard has established itself as a benchmark in skiing and ski touring with models whose reputations are well-established. From Austria to the Highest Peaks

1983 saw the birth of the famous Quattro ski, which utilised Thermo technology. Over the years, the brand accumulated wins, titles, and champions. In 1996, the Swiss company Scott acquired the brand. In 2006, the Italian group Tecnica took over Blizzard.

That same year, IQ technology was introduced, offering perfect synergy between the ski and binding. In 2010, Blizzard received the ISPO Award for its R-Power FS IQ. The following year, it won another ISPO Award for its Flip Core Rocker technology.

Today, the company has grown from a small carpentry workshop in the Austrian mountains to a production facility that manufactures 850 pairs of sandwich construction skis per day, about 150,000 per year. The brand's other 350,000 pairs of skis are produced in Ukraine.

Launched in 2016 for both traditional touring and freetouring, the brand has managed to make the range evolve over the years, always with the same principle: the pursuit of stability and performance. Today, the Zero G skis sell out every season, proving the loyal enthusiasm of fans of these skis!

Moreover, fans of untouched slopes and powder can find their happiness with the Hustle range of freetouring skis. Lightweight thanks to the original combination of poplar, paulownia, and beech, they allow you to preserve your energy on the climb. But this characteristic doesn't compromise their skiability. Playful and stable, they will also hold their edge effectively on hard snow!
