Description

The Elan Wingman 83 Ti all-mountain ski stands out as a technical solution for exploring both groomers and side country terrain. Combining advanced technologies with a performance-oriented design, this model is intended for skiers seeking a balance between stability, edge grip, and versatility across all types of snow. The construction of the Wingman 83 Ti optimises the experience across the entire mountain, offering an appealing balance between comfort and liveliness.

What is the Elan Wingman 83 Ti ski made for?

Part of the all-mountain range, the Wingman 83 Ti truly comes into its own when alternating between fast turns on groomed runs and venturing into fresh powder snow. With an 83 mm waist, it provides effective support in softer snow, while maintaining responsiveness and grip on hardpack thanks to its traditional camber and titanal construction. The double rocker at the tip and tail enhances float and makes pivoting easier when conditions are mixed or the terrain becomes more challenging. The Amphibio Profile technology clearly differentiates the left and right skis to simultaneously optimise edging in tight turns and smooth transitions. The combination of a laminated wood core and titanal reinforcement ensures reactivity, high-speed stability, and edge hold right through to the flat tail, delivering precise handling whatever the skier’s ambitions.

Who is the Elan Wingman 83 Ti ski aimed at?

The Wingman 83 Ti is aimed at skiers from solid intermediate to advanced level who enjoy varying their pace throughout the season. Its structure includes a titanal plate that requires confident handling, making it particularly suitable for those looking to progress technically across all types of terrain without needing expert-level technique. It’s ideal for enthusiasts who want to mix things up while benefiting from direct power transmission and strong rebound at the end of each turn.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
