Fischer

Fischer group was founded in 1924 by austrian Josef Fischer. Named Fischer Sport GmbH, the company is primarily making wintersports equipment even if it did build ice hockey gear and tennis equipment for a while (this branch was bought by Pacific in 2009). A benchmark for winter sports equipment

Fischer has long proven its worth. The Austrian family-own company started manufacturing skis in 1924 and is now a leading brand in the field. Its success in the 1964 Olympic Games put the brand under the spotlight on a global scale. Many athletes representing Fischer won medals, which established its long-term reputation for the quality and reliability of its products. From then on, Fischer maintained its spirit of perfectionism and will to always innovate.

A permanent drive for innovation

Innovations, both technological and material, allow riders to enjoy better sensations and control. Your gear is an extension of your body and must meet specific needs. Fischer has developed multiple technologies that contributed to pushing technical boundaries further. As one of the first brands to integrate carbon in Nordic skis, Fischer saved weight on the equipment, meaning more speed and endurance on the snow. Cold Base Bonding, a manufacturing process proprietary of the brand, offers better wax absorption and longer lasting glide performance. 3D Concept, a recent technology developed by Fischer, takes into account the fact that the ski’s sidewalls are in contact with the tracks. Very useful for classic style, the sidewall material is the same as the base and can be waxed to reduce friction and gain speed.

Fischer’s catalogue is vast, as the brand caters to all aspects of skiing. Omnipresent in the world of racing, the brand also offers a recreational range for beginners and advanced skiers. You can find equipment from Fischer regardless of your skill level or discipline, cross-country skiing, racing, ski touring, freestyle, etc.

Discover the technologies used in Fischer Nordic skis

With the implementation of carbon in Fischer’s bag of technologies, the performance of the brand’s products never ceases to improve. Air Core Carbon can be found on numerous models of skis and allows the core to be 80 % air. Located in the core, as well as the fibre layers, the use of carbon in Fischer cross-country skis make them very light. You’ll find this high-end core in three Nordic ski ranges from Fischer: Carbonlite Skate Plus and RCS Skate Plus for skating, and the Speedmax 3D Classic Plus for classic style.

In addition to carbon-enhanced constructions, Fischer Carbonlite Skate Plus and Fischer RCS Skate Plus skating ski ranges benefit from Cold Base Bonding. This cold bonding process of the base preserves the molecular integrity of the materials for better wax absorption and longer-lasting glide. These two ranges also have a specific camber which offers better stability and response on hard snow, thanks to ski/contact points that are further apart.

As for the Speedmax 3D Classic Plus range, it’s the development of Gliding Side Wall technology that allowed Fischer to increase the speed performance. It consists of a thing layer of polyethylene on the sidewalls to reduce friction on the sides in the tracks. In addition, these sidewalls can receive liquid wax for even more gains.

From racing skis to playful carving skis

Fischer RC4: the RC4 range is made up of high-performance skis, designed for elite level competitions. This World Cup range relies on the same designs and technologies as Fischer skis used on the Downhill, Giant Slalom and Slalom World Cup. Full speed ahead. Extreme responsiveness and unrivalled stability.

Fischer RC One: the RC One range is more accessible in terms of skills and more versatile in terms of snow conditions. These skis are ready to follow you all day on the slopes and through their evolution as the passage of skiers takes its toll on how well the pistes are groomed. The various models offer different levels of performance. With technologies such as BAFATEX or Shape Titanal, these skis allow you to have fun and feel as good a skier as you’ve ever been.

Fischer The Curv: The Curv range is based on the RC4 skis and offers both the performance of a race ski and the manoeuvrability and fun of a more user-friendly model. Thanks to technologies such as Carbon Bridge, Diagowrap and triple turn radius, these skis offer maximum control and sensations in the turns! A real treat to carve beautiful trajectories on groomers.

Ranger line for all-mountain and freeride

For skiers who aren’t satisfied by staying on groomed runs and prefer to venture in the backcountry on a quest for white gold, Fischer has developed the Ranger line. The models range from all-mountain skis with a waist width of around 80 and 90 mm. Titanium reinforced-constructions provide power and stability in every snow condition. The skis remain manoeuvrable thanks to their double rocker. Wider models offer even better performance in deep snow, with great handling for memorable runs in the backcountry.

Fischer Transalp range for ski touring

For ski touring enthusiasts, Fischer offers the Transalp range. These skis are light to save your energy in the skinning phase, while offering great manoeuvrability and handling in the descents. With models of various widths, you can find the ski you need for the conditions and terrain.
