Alpine Ski Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti Konect

The famous Rossignol racing ski serie is back again this year, among all the Hero skis here come the Hero Elite ST Ti Konect, a high end slalom ski developed for the wide public. Thanks to its tip Power Turn Rocker that eases the turn initiations and exits, this bullet is accurate and ultra nimble while staying accessible.

What can the Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti Konect ski do?

This slalom orientated alpine ski was born to do short turns at Mach 1. Its radius of only 13m for a 167cm ski will make you feel like a pro slaloming between stakes at max speed. The Hero Elite ST Ti Konect is fiber-metal reinforced to be as lively as possible and offer an energetic acceleration coming out of turns. You just have to try this slalom ski to get into it and attack the slopes and do lighting fast edge to edge changes to rush down the hill. No matter the snow conditions or the temperature of the snow, the Hero Elite ST Ti Konect delivers an insane grip on freshly groomed snow as well as on ice and everything in between.

Who is the Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti Konect  designed for?

This slalom has been developed from the competition ski but is a little bit more accessible. You better be a confirmed to expert skier to fully appreciate the potential of the ski. The ex pros might ask for more because the Hero ST Ti Konect is a bit forgiving and could feel like a good toy. Even if you ride a week per year you are sure to have a blast without losing a leg on the way.

What are the main assets of the Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti Konect ski?

Type of turns

  • Directional (front tip)  :

The ski shape allows only a directional use.

Structure - Construction

  • Minicap Sandwich  :

Ultra durable construction built with wood cores, 30 degree sidewalls, fiberglass and high-tech laminates. The Mini Cap ROSSITOP to strengthens the top of the ski and is resistant to chipping for increased durability. The sidewalls of the skis are angled at a 30° incline to improve swing weight, reduce the overall weight of the ski, and enhance edging and durability.

  • Wood core  :

Woodcores - used since ever in the ski industry - offer great performance. They provide stability and rebound, eliminate vibrations and are extremely durable.

  • Prop Tech  :

Transversal ski flex release system. In response to the new turn radius regulations issued by the FIS, we have worked hard on the actual structure of the ski in a bid to improve turn initiation and make handling more enjoyable. The result is the Prop Teck Technology. The Zicral top reinforcement layer is cut lengthwise at the tip of the ski for superior power transfer and ski control. This technology is used by all our World Cup racers.

  • Fibro/metal structure  :

The fiberglass and metal structure enhances flex and stiffness, increases resistance to torsion, and improves boosts on turn exits.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Power Turn Rocker  :

High camber on 90% of the ski length delivering power and grip with an excellent contact feel. The 10% left are rockered and allow easy turn initiations and optimum control.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

  • Konect  :

New interface that lowers the weight, facilitate the fitting of the bindings and gives a ensures optimal transmission.

  • Cascade Tip  :

The new Cascade Tip uses varying shapes of metal and fiberglass laminates at staggered lengths to provide a lighter extremity. The unique layered shapes control tip torsion which smoothes out turn initiation and improves full edge contact. The lighter weight tip improves the swing weight of the ski for quick and adaptable turn initiation.
