What can the Burton 2018 Process Off-axis snowboard do?

The Process was already really enjoyable in the traditional version, but the Off-axis version is even better! It’s a winning combination of classic camber between the feet and flat areas with lifted tips. This profile offers a remarkable level of playfulness and makes it the ultimate ally for freestyle sessions. This twin board is highly manoeuvrable and guarantees you total control. Rarely has a board been so easy to steer! Its lively construction delivers an outstanding level of pop and reliable stability. This energetic board almost pivots by itself and provides you with strong support. It’s a fantastic park performer which also excells on powder and on the pistes like any other Burton board. This versatility is a great asset to make the most of the entire mountain and to experience all the joys of riding.

Who is the Burton 2018 Process Off-axis snowboard designed for?

This 2018 model is aimed at riders who live for freestyle and need a precise, stable and lively board to set the park on fire and to shred any other terrain. The Process Off-axis will become a toy for all the most skilled riders out there.

Structure - Construction

  • Dualzone™ EGD™  :

The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.

  • Triaxial fiberglass  :

Fiberglass weave positioned at 0°/-45°/45° for a stiffer board in torsion.

  • FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Core  :

Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.

  • Off-Axis Squeezebox  :

Squeezebox technology is a new system with a thinner underfoot construction and thicker elsewhere which gives more pop and more reactivity to the board.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Shape Twin  :

Shape perfectly symetric for keeping balance no matter switch or regular. Shape for freestyle : Jib and spins, butters and landings easier.

Rocker - Camber

  • Purepop Camber  :

An evolution of a traditional camber shape, our NEW Purepop Camber profile features subtle flat zones just outside your feet to amplify pop and add playfulness to the snap and response of camber. Early rise and tail sections spin and float with a catch-free feel.

Other

  • Infinite Ride™  :

This Burton-exclusive technology allows us to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

  • Off-Axis Frostbite  :

Edges slightly sharper under the feet for optimal edge hold in any conditions. Works with Off-Axis technology.

  • Pro-Tip™  :

A tapered Tip and Tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

  • Scoop  :

This scoop shape makes the board a lot more forgiving by raising the edges at the nose and tail.

  • Sintered base  :

Very good wax absorbtion. Resists against friction. High longevity.

  • The Channel  :

Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, The ChannelM6 has staked its claim as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats including EST™, Re:Flex™, and Disc. The upgrade to M6 means Burton is now using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with select competitor bindings, making it a choice for any rider.
