Boards for every rider
From approachable boards such as the Prime Chroma to more demanding models like the Team Pro Marcus Kleveland, Nitro offers snowboards with a range of shapes, camber profiles and flex ratings to suit different riding styles. True twins and directional twins feature prominently for freestyle and all-mountain riding, while the Phase, Alternator, Pantera and Cannon use more directional shapes designed for carving, speed and freeriding. The range also includes several snowboards for women and children.
From the Prime Chroma to the Team Pro: freestyle boards for different ability levels
The Prime Chroma combines a directional twin shape with a camber-and-rocker profile and a relatively soft construction. It is one of the most accessible options for exploring the resort, learning your first tricks and riding switch. The Cheap Thrills models are more park-focused: their 100% true twin shape and flat profile are geared towards jibbing, rails and switch riding.
The Team retains a directional twin shape but features traditional camber, providing greater response for carving, jumps and freestyle riding across the entire ski area. The Team Pro and Team Pro Marcus Kleveland take this approach further with a stiffer, more responsive construction aimed at advanced to expert snowboarders seeking extra support on large park features and at high speed.
Phase, Alternator, Pantera or Cannon: which Nitro board for freeriding?
Nitro’s directional models are not all designed for the same purpose. The Phase combines camber and rocker to retain easy handling while making transitions between groomed runs and soft snow more effortless. The Magnum offers an all-mountain and freeride-oriented design with extra width for riders with larger boot sizes.
The Alternator and Pantera step up in performance with traditional camber and a design intended for advanced to expert snowboarders. The Cannon stands clearly apart from the rest of the collection thanks to its radical swallowtail shape, a board built for powder.
Nitro women’s snowboards, from freestyle to freeride
The women’s collection covers several distinct riding styles. The Lectra Leaf and Mystique place greater emphasis on ease of use and all-mountain freestyle performance. The Fate retains this switch-riding capability while adding more response, whereas the Fate Pro increases stiffness for advanced to expert female riders looking for greater response.
The Drop and Nova, meanwhile, feature a directional shape and a camber-and-rocker profile, with a stronger focus on groomed runs, carving and freeriding. With its directional shape and traditional camber, the Alternator X Hailey is even more clearly aimed at advanced to expert female snowboarders.
Spirit Kids and Spirit Youth for young snowboarders
The Spirit Kids and Spirit Youth use a 100% true twin shape and a flat profile. This combination makes direction changes and switch riding easier while remaining forgiving and undemanding. Both models are designed for beginner to intermediate young snowboarders.
