Snowboard expert

"Every rider has his own style and his gear must match. Freestyling, freeriding, splitboarding, I want you to find what you look for. Call me on 020 3129 3301."

Apo is coming back in 2019 with a series of 4 boards, each of which having its own specific DNA. The Blend comes at a lower price point and focuses on the fun part of snowboarding. It gives riders lots of room for progression and works on any kinds of terrains. It features a directional shape for enhanced manoeuvrability and makes riding as enjoyable as can be. This board is a Glisshop exclusive board, you won’t find it anywhere else online.

What can the Apo Blend snowboard do?

The Blend is powered by a fibreglass-reinforced poplar core. Its directional shape and slight setback give riders a lot of control and make turns easier to initiate. The board inspires confidence regardless of the conditions. It feels stable and predictable and has no problem with changing terrains. The low camber underfoot keeps traction to a more than decent level while the rockered tips offer the playfulness and the floaty feel you want when surfing powder or playing around in the terrain park. In short, the Blend is the definition of a smooth board. It does exactly what you want and keeps your progression going.

Who is the Apo Blend snowboard designed for?

We recommend the Apo Blend to most riders from a beginner up to intermediate level looking for a versatile allrounder that can cope with their needs without asking too much.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
