The Jones Hovercraft has a directional shape, with a large, generous rocker tip and a small swallow tail on the back. It also benefits from a toned, glass fibre reinforced wood core, combined with a classic camber that offers great performance. It's still very easy to handle and quick to turn. Its ecological construction is the icing on the cake. It uses as many sustainable materials as possible, with recycled edges and rims, bio-based glue and wax, and ink-free laser graphics.    

What is the Jones Hovercraft snowboard program?   

With the Jones Hovercraft, you'll enjoy a finely tuned shape for maximum feel and efficiency on all terrains. It is slightly wider than a traditional snowboard, which provides an excellent level of flotation. It is stable and reactive, holds its edge very well on hard snow, but remains comfortable in the supports. It's a really fun board to ride but one that makes it easy to get into turns and pick up speed, no matter what the terrain or snow quality is. A freeride board with an alternative shape, which will guarantee lots of fun throughout the resort.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
