Description

The Fintwin from Nitro is a directional snowboard with a shorter and wider dimension than normal. It is only available in a size 149 cm, with a width of 258 mm, which corresponds to a Mid-Wide size. This automatically makes the board more manoeuvrable and floats better in powder. This coupled with the setback position of the inserts and the swallowtail shape and you have a smooth and good flotation in powder snow. Finally, the fiberglass-reinforced wood core offers a good level of energy while keeping the board comfortable to ride. It also works well on piste, thanks to its classic camber and rockers providing a good grip and fluidity. To summarize, the Fintwin provides maximum fun for all off-piste sessions in good conditions but don't hesitate to try it on piste!

What are the key qualities of the Nitro Fintwin snowboard?

Flotation

Manoeuvrability

Fluidity

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
