The Jones Stratos is a hybrid snowboard that combines a true freeride shape with technologies and construction that offer a good level of playability. It performs well and takes advantage of eco-friendly materials, with a wood shell reinforced with flax and basalt stringers, recycled edges and rims, and bio-based glue and wax.   

What is the Jones Stratos snowboard program?    

The flex is dynamic and easy to handle, offering an accessible ride that allows you to link turns with ease in any terrain. This is especially the case with the pronounced rocker in the front tip, the directional shape and the back foot position, which allow for ultra-fluid entry into turns. There's also a natural lift to take advantage of great snow conditions, while the classic camber section and Traction Tech 3.0 edges provide good grip on hard snow. So, you can go carving downhill on the slopes, or have fun slashing through the snow and slaloming through the pines.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
