If you are passionate about surfing and/or shaping, you won't be insensitive to the beauty of the Jones Surf Shapes series of snowboards. The result of a collaboration between Jeremy Jones and surf shaper Chris Christenson, this series brings together surf-inspired snowboards, each with a unique shape offering performance and handling on and off the slopes. The boards are called Lone Wolf, Storm Chaser, Mind Expander or Mountain Surfer, and each one offers a unique experience, the result of a combination of lines, flex and rockers from the genius of two passionate surfers.
Choosing a Jones snowboard set for splitboarding
Jeremy Jones, founder of Jones Snowboards, is very committed to the environment, both in the development of his brand and in his related activities. No wonder the Jones catalogue offers so many splitboards, which make it possible to do away with the ski lifts and the watered-down version of the mountain offered by ski resorts. Thus, many Jones snowboards are available in splitboard versions, and we offer them in packs with Karakoram bindings, Jones' preferred brand for split, but also with other brands of splitboard bindings.
Jones snowboard set to start off
Unless you are particularly gifted and in good physical shape, starting with a Jones snowboard is not a good idea! Jones snowboards are quite stiff and demanding, they are not suitable for novices. Even the Jones Prodigy snowboard, designed for children and teenagers, already requires a good level of practice. For men, the most accessible models are the Jones Mountain Twin, all-mountain/freestyle type, the Jones Frontier for freeride, or the Jones Mind Expander with its original shape. For women, it is the Jones Dream Catcher which is the least demanding both technically and physically?
