The Völkl freeride ski 100eight is a powder gun suited for aggressive skiers who want float and agility packed in a beefy construction. Hit the deep with confidence!

Völkl’s new 100eight returns with fresh cosmetics and a similar construction to its previous version. This big mountain charger comes with a full rocker profile combined to a flat camber. This winning combination delivers the ultimate performance on deep powder while the carbon stringer construction reinforces torsional stiffness to keep the ski lively and responsive in variable snow conditions

What can the Volkl 100eight ski do?

This is a floaty freeride ski that likes to ride at high speeds. Its light weight multi layer construction provides a consistent flex pattern making the ride smooth and incredibly fun on soft snow. On harder snow, it definitely holds its own and feels more stable than we expected. The tip to tail wood core keeps the ski responsive despite its generous 108mm waist and should let you make your way down the hill through groomed trails without a problem. We can’t say it is a one ski quiver, but it’s versatile enough to handle any terrain without struggling.

Who is the Volkl 100eight ski designed for?

It is a ski we recommend to the advanced to expert skier looking for a playful powder ski. The 100eight may be a little too wide if you’re looking for a go-to everyday ski but it’s a nice addition to your quiver.

What are the best assets of the Volkl 100eight ski?

Powder agility
Light Construction

Tips & advice
On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
