The Völkl women’s ski 90eight W delivers incredible performance both on and off piste. Light construction for added agility and advanced techs make this ski a work of art.

This women’s 90eight is the perfect copy of the male version and comes in shorter lengths, better suited for women skiers. Featuring the same techs as its counterpart such as carbon stringers or the 3D Glass technology, you get a lively and torsionally stiff ski under your feet. Add to this a tip and tail rocker emphasising the nimble character of the ski and a section of underfoot camber for added edge hold and you get one of the best women’s freeride ski available on the market to this day.

What can the Volkl 90eight W ski do?

If you want to feel free on your skis, if you want to ski on piste just as easily as you would off it, then this 98mm waisted ski is a good place to start. Incredibly grippy on hard snow and delivering a rock-solid stability at high speeds, the 90eight carves the hardpack as if it was easy. Its traditional camber and lively construction snap out of turns and offer solid accelerations making it just as good as piste-specific skis. But if fresh snow is around, don’t bother ripping groomers. The 90eight are so much fun on pow they work like big mountain skis. Floaty, loose and nimble, they deliver the performance you’d expect from high-end freeride skis with the privilege of working on any other terrains.

Who is the Volkl 90eight W women’s ski designed for?

This wide ski targets experienced women skiers who want one ski to do it all. From ripping the hardpack to shredding the backcountry, the 90-eight is the ski-quiver of your dreams.

Tips & advice
On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
