Alpine Ski Atomic Bent Chetler 100

Ski sold without binding.

This is a brand new ski in the Bent Chetler Family, the Bent Chetler 100 is a playful mid-fat ski, derived from the best selling Bent Chetler ski. Featuring smaller rockers and a 100mm platform, the Bent Chetler 100 gets more versatile. If it does remain a backcountry ski, it offers added performance on harder snow.

What can the Atomic Bent Chetler 100 freestyle BC ski do?

With a 100mm underfoot platform, the ski can bust through pretty much anything that lies on its way. Its dual rockered profile makes it excel on powder and in the backcountry. The large sidecuts and big rockers keep it afloat with a natural ease and maximise its maneuvrability. The new HRZN Tech Tip makes the ski more forgiving as well, especially on deep pow. The tips have the shape of a spoon which makes them catchfree and looser through rough landings. But the Bent Chetler 100 makes a real difference with its bigger brothers on hard snow. Its powerful construction and narrower waist make it more manageable and more stable. Yes it does require skills but it’s far more efficient than any other Bent Chetler skis on the hardpack.

Who is the Atomic Bent Chetler 100 freeski designed for?

More manageable than the 120mm version, the Bent Chetler 100 is a ski of choice for any intermediate and advanced skiers looking for a mid fat powderhound able to shred the backcountry and hold on the hardpack.

What are the main assets of the Atomic Bent Chetler 100 ski?

Structure - Construction

  • Full Sidewall  :

Sidewalls affect how the ski dampens impacts and transmits power. We use four different types to suit different types of snow and skiing. Runs across the full length of the ski for precise steering, ideal for high-performing race and piste skis.

  • RENU Step Down Sidewall  :

In the heart of the ski there are different materials and essentially different kinds of wood that will determinate the behaviour of the ski. This poplar wood core is ideal for the powder, the all-mountain ski and the touring ski requiring strength and lightness.

Rocker - Camber

  • Powder Rocker Tip  :

It is the most pronounced tip and tail rocker shape associated to a a camber underfoot. It delivers an incredible buoyancy and handiness in deep powder, crud snow and everything in between.

  • HRZN Tech  :

HRZN Tech is the result of two years testing by Chris Benchetler and the Atomic Freeski product development team in Altenmarkt, Austria.

The aim was to create the ultimate design for playing in all types of powder. Having tried everything from shaved edges, to boat hulls, to totally new camber profiles, the eureka moment came by expanding the horizons of rocker. By blending an ABS sidewall construction with a revolutionary across-the-ski (horizontal) rocker, HRZN Tech adds 10% more surface area in the tip and tail without increasing swing weight. This encourages far better tracking through chop and crud, and less tip deflection – meaning increased stability, floatation and agility. This tip and tail design is set to reshape the future of powder skis.

"Very versatile ski good on the piste, park, and powder. Although when carving it was easier to lose balance. I would highly recommend this ski if you want a bit of everything and ski a variety of different terrain. Also really light."
