The 2020 Hero Master returns with a new R22 plate bringing more power under your feet. What doesn’t change is that you still have to pick your ski length according to your skiing style. Indeed, Rossignol offers the Hero Master in 4 lengths, each of which coming with a specific turning radius: 16m, 18m, 21m or 23m. This means if you’d rather lay GS-like turns you probably want to pick a 180 or 185cm ski, if you’re more into SL technique then the shorter 170 or 175 lengths will be best suited for you. Whichever you choose, bear in mind that the Hero Master is raw power. Explosive wood core and titanal reinforcements testify.
What can the Rossignol Hero Master R22 ski do?
Skiing with the Hero Master is almost like skiing with a competition racing ski. If the R22 is a touch more forgiving and less demanding, it delivers just as much power. The ski accelerates faster than a sports car and holds on edge as if it was a magnet. You can arc high-speed trenches on the steepest slopes the resort has to offer, the ski won’t move. Its stiff construction delivers a rock-solid stability and keeps rebound and power transmissions at their highest level. If you need a ski that can fulfill your hard charging needs, this might be the one.
Who is the Rossignol Hero Master R22 ski designed for?
We recommend this racing rocket to expert skiers only. Stiff, ultra responsive but demanding, it’s a good choice if you’re not quite ready for riding real competition skis but you want similar performance on your feet.
